Welcome to the subscription service of Crowy, a photo enhancement app focused on generating custom crowns for portrait photos. This Subscription Agreement outlines the terms and guidelines for using Crowy’s premium subscription service, designed to ensure a positive, transparent, and enjoyable experience for all subscribers. By purchasing or activating the Subscription Service, you agree to comply with the terms set forth below. Importantly, Crowy does not require you to create an account or log in to use the App or the Subscription Service, and we do not collect any facial information or biometric data related to your face—this commitment remains central to our service and is detailed further in this agreement.
As with all Crowy services, the Subscription Service is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect any facial information from subscribers, nor do we store, process, or analyze any biometric data related to your face. When you upload portrait photos to use with the Subscription Service, the photos are only used to generate the custom crown effects you request—no facial details (such as facial features, structure, or unique characteristics) are extracted, stored, or shared. All photo processing is done locally on your device whenever possible, and your photos remain solely on your device, not on our servers. No account creation is required to subscribe; you can activate the Subscription Service directly through your device’s app store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) without providing any personal information beyond what is required by the app store itself.
By subscribing to Crowy’s Subscription Service, you gain access to the following premium features (subject to updates and changes):
We may update or modify the Subscription Service features from time to time to enhance the user experience. Any significant changes to features will be notified to you within the App, and your continued use of the Subscription Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated features.
The Subscription Service is activated through your device’s official app store (Apple App Store, Google Play Store). When you subscribe, you will be charged the applicable subscription fee (as displayed in the App or app store) for the selected subscription period. Subscription periods are available in different options (e.g., monthly, annual), and the duration will be clearly indicated at the time of purchase.
No account is required to activate or use the Subscription Service. The subscription is linked to your device’s app store account (not a Crowy account), making it easy to manage your subscription directly through your device settings. Once activated, the Subscription Service will remain active for the entire subscription period, and you will have full access to all premium features during that time.
By default, your Crowy subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period (e.g., monthly, annually) unless you cancel the automatic renewal before the end of the current period. The renewal fee will be the same as the original subscription fee, unless there is a price change, in which case we will notify you of the new price through the App or app store before renewal.
You can cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription at any time through your device’s app store settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current subscription period—you will not be charged for the next period, and you will retain access to the Subscription Service until the current period expires. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, but you may continue using the premium features until your subscription ends.
The Subscription Service is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use the premium features to generate custom crown effects for your own photos, share the edited photos on social media or with friends, and use them for personal creative purposes. You may not use the Subscription Service for commercial purposes (e.g., generating crown effects for paid photography services, advertising, or other commercial activities) without prior permission from the Crowy team.
You agree to use the Subscription Service in accordance with the User Agreement for Crowy, including all user responsibilities (e.g., only uploading photos you own or have the right to use, not sharing inappropriate content). Violation of these guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Subscription Service access, without refund.
As a subscriber, your privacy remains our top priority. We do not collect any facial information, personal identification information, or biometric data from you. The Subscription Service does not require you to provide any additional personal information beyond what is required by your device’s app store to process the subscription payment (e.g., payment details, which are handled directly by the app store, not by Crowy).
We do not store your payment information, as all payment processing is managed by the app store. We also do not collect any usage data that can be linked to you individually—any usage data we collect (e.g., which premium features you use most) is anonymous and used solely to improve the Subscription Service and the App. Your photos are processed locally on your device, stored only on your device, and never shared with third parties or stored on our servers.
We may occasionally update the Subscription Service, including adding or removing features, adjusting pricing, or modifying the subscription terms. Any significant changes (e.g., price increases, major feature changes) will be notified to you in advance through the App or your device’s app store. Your continued use of the Subscription Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
We reserve the right to discontinue the Subscription Service at any time, though we will notify you in advance if this occurs, and you will not be charged for any future subscription periods. If the Subscription Service is discontinued, you will retain access to the premium features until the end of your current subscription period.
